Super-twisting Sliding Mode Control for a Multifunctional Double Stage Grid-connected Photovoltaic System

This paper proposes a super-twisting sliding mode control for multifunctional system that includes Photovoltaic (PV) connected to the grid through Active Power Filter (APF). The latter is implemented improve power quality in side, and injecting provided photovoltaic into grid. Sliding known as powerful with good performance transient steady-state conditions. In this work, Super-Twisting Mode Control (ST-SMC) applied extract maximum from PV source, corresponding irradiation level, well three-phase inverter-based-APF control. For inject generated source respect international standards, fulfilling active filtering, synchronous reference frame theory used generate appropriate signals harmonic reactive compensation. To test multi-functionality of (PV-APF), one supplying nonlinear loads absorb non-sinusoidal currents. Through simulation results, it has successfully achieved proposed under dynamic results also show effectiveness moderation Furthermore, comparative study been established over conventional PI controller, showing clear superiority every aspect.
